Rashidi yekini (Oct 23 1963 -May 4,2012)

Ex-Nigerian striker rashidi yekini was buried this morning in Ira, Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State according to muslim rights .

The former african footballer of the year passed away yesterday in ibadan at the age of 48 due to what his close associates called depression. Rashidi was said to have been living a solitary life after retiring from football .At the burial which was attended by top officials,oyo and osun state Government donated N1M each to his family.

The former Super Eagles top striker was survived by aged mother ,three wives and three children.

Na now Government know say dem go donate money? Useless people, I know they will soon name a stadium him. Why do we keep ignoring to help people when they are alive and prefer to care when they are no more? ....this is so sad. Naija needs to change!
